The overhead monorail design is the basis for the new Lakeside/Muhr Catronic Monorail Trash Rake.  A trolley unit transports the rake assembly along the track, which runs along the bar rack.  The grab rake is lowered by a cable to the bar rack, cleaning the screen.  Screenings are captured by the hydraulic grab rake until they can be released at the unload point. The trolley then moves the unit to the end of the track and the grab rake opens for disposal.

This raking device does not require multiple rakes or conveyor systems, making it ideal for facilities with multiple bar screens.
